Today, 86 years ago, on September 18, 1931, the "September 18 Incident" broke out. Over the ensuing 14 years, vast swaths of our country’s territory were lost, and 35 million compatriots were killed or wounded. The history written in blood and struggle serves as a stark warning to our people: only by staying strong can we avoid being beaten; only through development can we become powerful. Let us never forget this national tragedy—let us rise up and strengthen ourselves!
September 18 Incident
Time: September 18, 1931
Location: China – Introduction to the Shenyang Incident
In 1930, the global capitalist economic crisis struck Japan. In order to divert the increasingly acute domestic class contradictions, Japan stepped up its military aggression against China, triggering the "Wanbaoshan Incident" and the "Nakamura Incident" in Northeast China in July and August 1931, respectively. On September 18, Japan further provoked the "Liutiaohu Incident," launching a war of aggression against Northeast China.

The "Documentary History of the Showa Era" describes the "Liutiaogou Incident" as follows: "On the night of the 18th, with the moon nearly half-full, the millet fields lay shrouded in deep darkness... Lieutenant Kawamoto Suehisa of the Kawashima Platoon, Ishimoto Detachment, led several subordinates toward Liutiaogou under the pretext of inspecting the railway line... Kawamoto himself placed small explosives—typically used by cavalry—under the railroad tracks and lit the fuse. It was past 10 o'clock when a tremendous explosion thundered through the night, sending the rails and sleepers flying into the air."
The Japanese army placed three corpses dressed in Chinese soldier uniforms at the scene, disguising them as “criminals” who had been killed while detonating explosives. They falsely accused the Chinese army of sabotaging the railway and attacking the Japanese garrison.
△In 1938, the Japanese invaders erected a so-called “Liu Tiao Lake Incident” marker and a “monument” at the site of the explosion—both built to flaunt their crimes of aggression against China.
Subsequently, the Japanese forces—numbering fewer than 800—captured the Beida Camp of the Northeast Army, which was garrisoned by nearly 7,000 troops, in just a few hours. Within less than 24 hours, Shenyang fell. During the battle, the Northeast Army suffered over 300 casualties, while the Japanese forces sustained 24 casualties.
This is the Mukden Incident, which shocked both China and the world.

[Every Chinese person should firmly remember this day.]
Today, 86 years later, China’s economy has achieved tremendous development. China’s powerful rise has brought about new changes to the existing global order. The world is closely watching China’s development, and China, in turn, is adapting to the changing global landscape. In May 2017, the Silk Road Research Institute at Beijing Foreign Studies University launched a grassroots survey among international students. Students from 20 countries along the Belt and Road initiative selected China’s “New Four Great Inventions”: high-speed rail, Alipay, shared bicycles, and online shopping. These so-called “New Four Great Inventions” are already familiar to Chinese people—but for those who still think that “people on the mainland can’t afford tea eggs,” they remain utterly unaware of the world beyond their narrow horizons. Recently, in the latest Fortune Global 500 ranking, Huawei’s position has soared continuously—from No. 352 in 2011 to No. 83 this year. In just seven years, Huawei has successfully entered the top 100, once again setting all of China abuzz!

Innovation knows no bounds, and challenges are endless.
In the lubricant industry, despite the presence of numerous foreign brands, we often see that even when certain foreign brands are exposed for quality or after-sales issues, the public still places their trust in them. This deeply saddens us—and it underscores our responsibility. More importantly, it serves as a powerful motivator driving us forward: to enhance our innovative capabilities in developing high-quality, agile products, pursue excellence relentlessly, and maintain stringent quality control measures. By doing so, we can win consumers’ preference and trust, and establish the “Qingjie” brand as a leading example of China’s outstanding brands. Let us remember our past pains, draw strength from them, and forge ahead with determination. When choosing lubricants, opt for Qingjie’s military-grade technology and petrochemical-quality domestic products—let’s strive for self-reliance and strength!
